Prostrate before your divine presence, O my God, I adore you with my whole heart. I am sorry for having offended you. I recognise myself as unworthy of any favour. Inflame my heart, O Lord, so that I may imitate the example of your faithful servant, Saint Anthony, under whose patronage I place my soul and body - Amen

Meditation: Our life is exposed to many dangers.

We may become the owners of all the things God created for us, but many dangers and difficulties must be conquered to improve the condition of our life. Our life is exposed to danger on land, but the danger of the seas is much worse. Saint Anthony on many occasions made himself a protector of those who lead a seafaring life. The waves of the sea are a perfect image of the moral sea of our life, with many obstacles to overcome before reaching the safe port of our eternal salvation. If Saint Anthony will take care of us, we may be perfectly sure to end our life in the hands of God.

If then you ask for a miracle,
Death, error, all calamities,
The leprosy and demons fly,
And health succeeds infirmities.
